Two Mile Prairie
Two Mile Prairie Adventure Club meets at Two Mile Prairie Elementary School, which is located about 5 miles north on Z highway. The average enrollment at Two Mile Prairie Adventure Club is 32 children AM/PM. Currently, in addition to two Part-time Site Facilitator, there are 3 Site Assistants at our site. All of our staff are full time students at the University of Missouri.
Two Mile Prairie Adventure Club meets in the school gymnasium. On occasion, for certain activities, we also use the school's media center, computer lab, and art room. Because we are located in a rural setting, we are fortunate to have a very large playground and recreational facilities outside. In addition the excellent equipment (swings, climbers, tether balls, basketball goals, etc), we have an outdoor classroom with two gazebos and a shelter. Weather permitting, one of our favorite activities is to take snack outside to eat in one of the shelters.
Children are signed in by a parent/guardian for the morning session and by the Site Facilitator or Site Assistant for the afternoon session. Each child is signed in on an attendance form with the time of arrival and the initials of the adult signing them in. Every child must be signed out by an authorized adult. Again, the sign-out sheets always include the time the child was signed out and the initials of the person who signed the child out.

The staff at Two Mile Prairie Adventure Club work hard to provide a fun and exciting place for the children to come before and after school. We continually change the choices we offer for the children, and encourage them to participate in the activities they wish, and to even try some activities they might not like. Our Adventure Club favorites are: building activities (K-NEX, Legos), playing with balls in the gym, unique arts and crafts projects, clubs like "Magnificent Magnets" and "Dinosaurs" and goofing around with our awesome staff. There is also time to get homework done during JOLT 4:45-5:25 M-R. Two Mile Prairie Adventure Club provides a safe place for children to interact with one another, develop, learn, and grow.
