Shepard
Shepard Elementary is located at 2616 Shepard Boulevard, Columbia, MO 65201. Adventure Club meets in the cafeteria but we also go outside and use the gym for active games. The average enrollment is 60 children AM/PM. We have 11 Site Assistants, including the Site Facilitator, that attend the University of Missouri and most have a strong child-related field. Snack is supplied in the afternoon as soon as the children are released from class. Each week a variety of clubs with different activities are available. Homework and reading time is always an option as well! We spend a lot of time outside on the playground equipment and soccer fields when the weather permits.
Children are signed in by a parent/guardian for the morning session and by the Site Facilitator or Site Assistant for the afternoon session. Each child is signed in on an attendance form with the time of arrival and the initials of the adult signing it. An authorized adult must sign out every child. Again, the sign-out sheets always include the time the child was signed out and the initials of the person who signed the child out.

Shepard Adventure Club is a great place for children to spend time before and after school. They are able to spend time with friends doing activities they enjoy in a positive, educational, and FUN environment. We offer a variety of activities from touch football outside, dramatic play in the carpeted area, sit-down toga in the gym, wooden blocks and legos, a variety of arts and crafts and so much more!!!!
