New Haven
New Haven Adventure Club meets at New Haven Elementary School, which is located at 3401 New Haven Rd. The average enrollment at New Haven Adventure Club is 32 children. Currently, in addition to the Site Facilitator, there are 5 University of Missouri college students employed as Site Assistants at this site. A majority of these students are Education or Early Childhood majors.
New Haven Adventure Club meets in the school cafeteria. We also have daily access to the school's gymnasium. New Haven's outside playground has swings, a climber, basketball goals and a large grassy field.
Children are signed in by a parent/guardian for the morning session and by the Site Facilitator or Site Assistant for the afternoon session. Each child is signed in on an attendance form with the time of arrival and the initials of the adult signing them in. The sign-out sheets always include the time the child was signed out and the initials of the person who signed the child out. An authorized adult must sign every child in and out of Adventure Club.
In addition to the sign in/out sheets, we have a large pocket "Where Are You?" chart in order for us to tell at a glance where a child is. The pocket chart is divided into 4 areas: "home", "cafeteria", "gym" and "outside." Each child's name is printed on an index card. The children move their names on the board according to where they are.

| 7:00-7:30 AM | Free choice in cafeteria. Children are free to choose from a variety of board games, dramatic play, Legos, reading/quiet time and a planned art activity. |
| 7:30-8:00 AM | Free choice in the gym or outside and above activities in the cafeteria. |
| 8:00-8:20 AM | Organized game in the gym, or free choice in the cafeteria or outside. Art activity ends at 8:00. |

| 4:45-5:15 PM | JOLT: Jump Start our Learning Time. Children choose from planned activities ("Clubs" which are activities planned by the Site Facilitator), homework, educational games, reading or electronics. |

We offer many choices for the children, and encourage them to do their homework here with us and to participate in the activities for personal growth and development. Some favorite choices here at New Haven Adventure Club are games in the gym, legos, and arts & crafts. New Haven Adventure Club is a safe, educational and fun program for the children of New Haven to attend before and after school.
