Midway Heights
Midway Adventure Club meets at Midway Heights Elementary School, which is located at 8130 W Highway 40. The average enrollment at Midway Adventure Club is 24 children AM/PM. Midway Adventure Club has 2 University of Missouri college students that serve as part-time Site Facilitators and 4 more University of Missouri college students employed as Site Assistants.
Midway Adventure Club meets in the school's cafeteria. We also have daily access to the gymnasium. On Friday's we have the opportunity to use the school's computer lab, known as the Tech Lab. The children really enjoy playing games on the computers. Midway's outside playground is fairly large with climbers, slides, swings, a funnel ball game, basketball courts, a baseball field, and a soccer field.
During the morning session, children are signed in by a parent/guardian and in the afternoon session by one of the Site Facilitators or the Site Assistant. Each child is signed in on an attendance form with the time of arrival and the initials of the adult signing them in, and each child is signed out on the attendance form with the time of departure and the initials of the adult signing them out. An authorized adult must sign out every child.
In addition to the sign in/out sheets, we have a clipboard which helps us know at a glance where a child is located. The board is divided into 2 areas: cafeteria and then either gym, outside, or tech lab (depending on what activity we are doing at the time).

Midway Adventure Club is a fun and safe place for Midway's children to come before and after school. The children really enjoy the program and look forward to participating in the various activities that we provide. Some of their favorite activities are games in the gym, such as Elimination, Toga, and Capture the Flag; building activities, such as K'nex, Legos, or basket pyramids; and other special activities that we have such as Early Release Days or making gingerbread houses during the holidays. At Midway Adventure Club the children are able to have fun with their friends in a safe and caring environment.
