Lee
Lee Adventure Club meets at Lee Expressive Arts Elementary School, which is located at 1208 Locust. The average enrollment at Lee Adventure Club is 30 children for morning session and 40 for afternoon session. In addition to the Site Facilitator, there are 4 Site Assistants at this site. All of the site assistants are students at the University of Missouri- Columbia.
Lee Adventure Club meets in the school gym. We also spend time outside and occasionally the Media Center. Lee has a nice outside playground with swings, playground equipment, tether balls, basketball goals and a soccer field.
Children are signed in by a parent/guardian for the morning session and by the Site Facilitator or Site Assistant for the afternoon session. Children are signed in on an attendance form with the time of arrival and the initials of the adult signing them in. Every child must be signed out by an authorized adult. Again, the sign-out sheets always include the time the child was signed out and the initials of the person who signed the child out.
JOLT: In the afternoons we have implemented a program entitled JOLT, which stands for Jump Start Our Learning Time. Children use JOLT to do homework or increase their reading skills by reading books and magazines, or by playing educational games that focus on spelling and word recognition. Children also have access to electronic equipment including a laptop with educational games and Quantum Pads. Finally our clubs provide a fun and interactive activities which keep kids engaged while learning about a variety of subjects including science, math, language arts and social studies.

Lee Adventure Club is a fun, safe place for Lee's children to come before and after school. We offer lots of choices for the children, and encourage them to participate in the activities they wish. Some favorite choices are: games in the gym such as "Dogcatcher" and "Leap the Creek". The children also enjoy our Early Release Day activities such as playing carnival games or dress up.Lee Adventure Club is a place where the children have fun with their school friends in a safe, learning environment.
