Fairview
Fairview Adventure Club meets at Fairview Elementary School, which is located at 909 S Fairview Dr. The average enrollment at Fairview Adventure Club is 60 children AM/PM. Currently, in addition to the Site Facilitator, there are 13 University of Missouri college students employed as Site Assistants at this site. A majority of these students are Education or Early Childhood majors.
Fairview Adventure Club meets in the school cafeteria. We also have daily access to the school's gymnasium. On occasion, for certain activities, we are able to take small groups of children in the teacher's lounge. Fairview's outside playground is very large, with swings, climbers, tether balls, basketball goals and a large grassy field.
Children are signed in by a parent/guardian for the morning session and by the Site Facilitator or Site Assistant for the afternoon session. Each child is signed in on an attendance form with the time of arrival and the initials of the adult signing them in. Every child must be signed out by an authorized adult. Again, the sign-out sheets always include the time the child was signed out and the initials of the person who signed the child out.
In addition to the sign in/out sheets, we have a large magnetic "Where Are You?" board in order for us to tell at a glance where a child is. The magnetic board is divided into 6 areas: "home", "cafeteria", "gym", "outside", "bathroom" and "other". Each child's name is printed on a magnetic strip. The children move their names on the board according to where they are.

| 4:45-5:15 PM | JOLT time (children choose from a choice of 3 clubs, technology, quiet reading or homework time.) |
| 5:15-5:50 PM | Free choice of either games in the cafeteria or gym activity |
| 5:50-6:00 PM | Clean up. Quiet games such as "I Spy". |

Fairview Adventure Club is a fun, safe place for Fairview's children to come before and after school. We offer lots of choices for the children, and encourage them to participate in the activities they wish. Some favorite choices are: games in the gym, Ooey Gooey Club (messy, tactile activities), building activities (legos, blocks), and creating a variety of art projects. Fairview Adventure Club is a place where the children have fun with their school friends in a safe, learning environment.
