Derby Ridge
Derby Ridge is located at 4000 Derby Ridge Drive in Columbia, Missouri off of Smiley Lane. Our average enrollment capacity is 60 children AM/PM. Currently, in addition to the Site Facilitator, there are 10 University of Missouri college students employed as Site Assistants at this site. Many of these students are Education majors, or in a related field. All the site assistants take their responsibility serious when it comes to caring for the children and they all enjoy being a positive part of the children's lives.
We meet in the Derby Ridge Cafeteria, utilizing the east cafeteria entrance (by the front circle drive). We use walkie-talkies as a means of communicating when the children are entering or leaving supervised areas. We also have access to the school's play ground, gym, common, and stage areas.
The children enrolled in the afternoon session attend field trips on the early release days. Some of the trips we have made are bowling, the movies, the ARC and local parks. Some early release days have included special events (Hosted book, food and clothing drives) and celebrations that families are welcome to participate in. (60's Luau celebrations)
In the morning, parents or authorized adults sign the students in on a sign-in sheet. The sheets, printed in week-long increments, have room for the time the child is signed in and the initials of the person bringing the student to Adventure Club. A staff memeber signs in the students in the afternoon; an authorized parent or other adult must sign them out, noting the time that they left, and initial the sheet next to the time the child was checked out.

| 7:30-8:15 AM | Gym or outside time. The children in the cafeteria completes their arts/crafts or free time. K-2/3-5 alternate use of gym if weather does not permit everyone to go outside |

| 8:15-8:25 AM | Group activity or a circle game. Stafff checks out children. |
| 8:25-8:30 AM | Line up to be released to class or to the breakfast line |
Afternoon Schedule
| 3:45-4:00 PM | Children are checked in ( children have free homework time, socialize, games) |
| 4:00-4:20 PM | Wash hands/snack. |
| 4:15-4:35 PM | Outside free time/cafeteria free time. |
| 4:35-5:05 PM | JOLT Time (Educational activities, homework, reading, laptop, small group, legos and building) |
| 5:05-5:30 PM | Outside/Gym/Cafeteria Free Play |

Derby Ridge Adventure Club is accredited by the National After school Association.Derby Ridge Adventure Club is a fun, safe environment for all children enrolled. We offer a variety of activities for all children to participate in. Children also have the opportunity to get to know many other children enrolled in the program. Often, their best friends can be found in Adventure Club. We have a great time at Adventure Club!!
