Benton

Benton Adventure Club meets at Benton Elementary School, located at 1410 Hinkson Avenue. The average enrollment for our program is 20 children AM/PM. Benton is generally flexible in terms of part-time and full-time enrollment. Benton Adventure Club is currently staffed by two Part-time Site Facilitators as well as three site assistants, all University of Missouri students.

In the morning we meet in the gym/cafeteria, and in the afternoon we meet in room 106. We have daily access to the gym after 5pm, and always have access to the spacious playground featuring a large grassy playing field, climbers, basketball goals, four square courts, and swing sets. Monday through Thursday afternoons, the children participate in staff-led activities (clubs). The focus of the club varies from week to week to ensure the enjoyment and learning of all children involved.

To ensure the safety of the children, an authorized adult must sign them in every morning and out every evening. A staff person is responsible for signing the children out in the morning, releasing them to school staff, and signing them in every afternoon when we resume care. The time and initials of the person signing children in and out must always be indicated on the sign-in and sign-out sheets provided to parents and guardians.
