Financial Assistance
Adventure Club accepts childcare subsidies from the Family Support Division (FSD, formerly known as DFS); they can be reached by phone at (573) 882-9180. If you are already approved for daycare assistance, you will need to contact your caseworker and let him/her know your children will be a part of Adventure Club and what school they attend. All parents who are approved for daycare assistance must complete a child attendance record each month by signing and initialing on the days their children attend.
Finally, it is Adventure Club policy that a family who receives assistance from the state miss no more than five days a month. For those families who do not qualify for assistance from FSD, there is limited amount of scholarships available from the City of Columbia and the Adventure Club program.
Two forms of paperwork are required before a family may be considered for this type of assistance.
- The first is a rejection from FSD for childcare assistance. This rejection must be dated January 1 or later to qualify for the current or upcoming school year.
- The second required document is your child's free/reduced letter for the current or upcoming school year.
The Columbia Public Schools Food Services office can be reached at (573) 214-3480. Parents must also either work or attend school.
FSD Attendance Rules
All parents receiving FSD childcare subsidy must sign in and out on the attendance sheet each day. Failure to do so may jeopardize your child's enrollment.
